The Thinking Forest

Dominová’s A Thinking Forest explores the poetic and symbolic relationship between the psyche and the natural world. 

Through depictions of myth and personal, intuitive, iconography, her work explores ideas about consciousness and eco-psychology and expanding our field of vision into the future. Her practice is an attempt to bridge introspective inquisition with the collective building of new worlds, with ideas manifesting through painting, sound art, moving image and installation.

Petra Dominová is an artist originally from Czech Republic, currently based in Northern Ireland. She completed her MFA in Fine Art at Belfast School of Art in 2019 and is based at Flax Art Studios.
