Announcing PeasPark artist-in-residence

Grace is an artist based in North Belfast - a literal resident! Her work focuses on exploring disability and accessibility in big and colourful ways. She has just completed a Masters in Disability Studies, Rights and Inclusion with the University of Leeds, and graduated from Belfast School of Art in 2019 with a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration.

We're excited to see what work Grace will make work in response to PeasPark throughout the year, funded by Esme Mitchell Trust. She will also undertake a series of workshops (more details to follow) focusing on the intersections between art, environment and wellbeing. North Belfast has an exceptionally high incidence of suicide, and through funding from the Openreach Community Fund, we will work with local organisations who provide prevention initiatives and the promotion of positive mental health.
