Aged Portraits

This exhibition is a collection of portraits of elderly people the artist has met since January 2009. Lyndsey has tried to capture the personalities and frailties of each individual. The artist is both intrigued and terrified by growing old and wants to challenge societies way of dealing with the age issue.  "We often marginalise the elderly, we keep them hidden because we are scared to look into our own future."
In this exhibition Lyndsey McDougall forces us to look and see the joy and heartache of growing old.
