SPACE SHUTTLE is a small, multifunctional unit, approx.12m2, used by PS2 for six projects around Belfast as a platform for urban creativity and social interaction (

PS2 now invite interested parties to submit ideas for the future creative use of the SPACE SHUTTLE. A jury will decide the winning entry and the SPACE SHUTTLE will be handed over in May 2007 free of charge.

Who Can Apply?
Artist groups, art and community organizations/institutions and initiatives who are constituted and non-profit making (i.e. schools, art initiatives, Council department)
Proposed Use
The shuttle should be used for creative/social projects and function as an active element.
Time Frame
The shuttle will be handed over to the winning applicant and will stay in their possession. The proposal should indicate a longer period of use (minimum 4 months) and possible re-use or again a hand over process.
To underline the viability of the proposal, possible funding sources should be mentioned.

The shuttle is free of charge. The cost for the transport to the new owners of the shuttle has to be paid by themselves.
A panel will be constituted to review and judge all submissions. Their decision will be final.
